Meal Items and Drinking Water Facilities in Teahouses of Upper Mustang

Don’t be surprised if you get to see some delicious foods and exceptional service during this Upper Mustang Trek. The teahouses provide a wide range of European, Indian, Nepalese, and many more cuisines. However, we strongly recommend trying local dishes and Nepalese cuisine like Daal Bhat during the trip. Here is the list of meal items available in the Mustang Region:

  • Breakfast: Oatmeals, Corn Flakes, French Toast, Tibetan Bread, Chapati, Local Tsampa Porridge, Muesli, Pancakes, Hot drinks, etc.
  • Lunch & Dinner: Dhal Bhaat, Tibetan Bread, Soups, Sherpa Stew, sandwiches, Spaghetti, Pizza, Pasta, Thukpa, Macaroni, Noodles, Steaks, etc.

Drinking water is also easily accessible during the entire trip in the teahouses. You can either buy bottles of water or filtered water. However, we suggest our trekkers buy filtered water and fill up their bottles rather than buying plastic bottled water. Plastic bottles can hurt the environment which can lead to serious environmental problems.
