Your Manaslu Trekking Guide will pick you up from the hotel early morning around 6 to drive to the bus station. Boarding on the local bus, the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trekking begins with a lot of excitement.

A long drive to Macchekhola, the starting point of the trek, from Kathmandu in a public bus. From the window of the bus, admire the captivating views of the other side of the Nepalese countryside. In between the drive, the bus stops at several places for lunch breaks. During that time, you can enjoy the views of the local places. This monastery was founded in the 19th century and holds significance for the local people of Tsum Valley. Inside the Gompa, discover ancient Buddhist Scriptures, arts, murals, and monks. At first, climb down to Lokpa Village and cross a suspension over the Budhi Gandaki River. After that, stop for a while at Ekle Bhatti for another meal and continue walking through the Rhododendron Forest. Today’s journey rewards with the stunning views of Shiringi Himal. After arriving at Deng, you will notice the Gurung community and their terrace field filled with wheat, potatoes, and barley. Overnight stay at Deng.

From today, the route will follow the regular Manaslu Trekking Trail. You will have breakfast around 6 am, earlier than usual time, and leave Deng Village with a steep climb. Take your lunch at Ghap Village and stroll around here to see the mani walls. Resume your journey towards Namrung slowly climbing through the trail and admiring the views of Mt. Manaslu. The Village of Namrung provides you with stunning views of Ganesh Himal and Mt. Manaslu. Moreover, this village is mostly inhabited by the Nubri Community who are influenced by Tibetan Culture and Buddhism. Overnight stay at Namrung.

The hiking route to Manaslu Base Camp goes through a steep climb. Relish the beautiful views of Mt. Manaslu from a closer distance and spend some time over there. Likewise, enjoy the packed lunch while cherishing the views of the surrounding peaks. However, you will have other hiking options like Birendra Lake Hike and Pungyen Gompa Hike. An exciting day lies ahead of you as you hike to the Tibetan Border today. Take an early breakfast around 6 am and kick off the trip towards Samdo Glacier View Point. Then from here, hike to Rui La Pass (Tibetan Border) which gives you the best views of Manaslu, Larkya Peak, and Hiunchuli. At the same time, you can enjoy a packed lunch with superb views in front of you. Spending some relishing moments at the pass, the journey returns to Samdo retracing the same route. Another short trekking day starts with a delicious breakfast around 7 am. You are leaving for Dharmasala which is also known as Larkya Phedi, just before the pass. Crossing the Budhi Gandaki River over a wooden bridge, start to climb towards Larkya Bazaar. You will arrive at Dharmasalar around 12 pm for lunch. Take your meal and acclimatize for the rest of the day. This village of Dharmasala is the last stop before crossing the challenging Larkya La Pass. Overnight stay at Dharmasala.

A thrilling and challenging day lies ahead as you will cross one of the highest passes of Nepal. Wake up around 3 am and time to move on because, in the late morning, the level of high wind starts to increase. It will be difficult to cross the pass with the high intensity of the wind.

At first, navigate the challenging Larkya Glacier through the rocky moraine. After crossing it, arrive at Larkya La Pass (5106 meters), finally your achievement is a great feat standing tall at the highest pass in Nepal. After summiting the pass, refuel your body with bars and snacks, to resume the trek to Bhimthang. The hike down to Bhimtang is going to be a long one. Along the way, get the beautiful sights of glacial lakes and icefalls.

Stop by in a decent place for the Lunch Break and have some rest. After lunch continue the walk down to Bhimthang. This village also rewards with the beautiful views of Mt. Manaslu and Lamjung Himal. Overnight stay at Bhimthang.

The final day of your Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trekking arrives. It was an exciting and challenging trek along with some of the finest moments of your life. After breakfast around 7 am, descend through the alpine pasture and rhododendron forests. The village of Karche and Gho arrives where you can see the terrace farmlands and tranquil settlements. From here an hour of walk will take you to Tilije Village for Lunch and a small break. Afterward, through the trail of forests descend to Dharapani for an overnight stay.

  • Manaslu Restricted Area Permit Card: USD 100 per person for the first 7 days and USD 15 beyond the 7 Days during September-November. Likewise, from December to August, it costs USD 75 per person for the first week and USD 10 per person beyond the first week.
  • Tsum Valley Restricted Areas Permit Card: USD 40 per person for the first week and USD 7 per person per day after 7 days from September to November. Whereas, from December to August it costs USD 30 per person for the first 7 days and USD 7 per person per day after that.
  • Manaslu Conservation Area Project Permit Card: It costs around USD 25 per person who will work throughout the trip.
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit Card: This permit is required as you will end the trek at Annapurna Circuit Trekking Route. It costs USD 25 per person.
