Altitude Sickness during the ABC Trek

Altitude sickness is a very common illness to have during a high-altitude journey above 3000 meters. If you are an experienced hiker then there is a rare chance of getting altitude sickness. However, for beginner trekkers, there is a possibility of getting sick. This can be one of the reasons that can make Annapurna Base Camp Trek difficult.

To get rid of altitude sickness, a few essential measures can help you in completing the trek. Although if you don’t have enough time than 7 days then acclimatizing one more day might not be possible. However, walking slowly and adapting to the thin air is also a kind of acclimatization. Likewise, staying hydrated and nutritious meals are the best ways to prevent the sickness. However, in worse cases descending in low altitudes and rescue operation by Heli Charter is the last option.

The teahouses are very simple with twin-bed room basis. Moreover, above Sinuwa it is very difficult to find the attached room. However, you need to tell us beforehand if you need a private room and we make the arrangement accordingly.

Similarly, the facility the teahouses provide is very common. They have a big dining hall with electricity charging pots available. They may take extra cost per device for charging your mobile phones or backups. Likewise, for internet access, they do have Wi-Fi but not reliable one. Each of these facilities might cost around $2-5 per person.
