Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square is the major attraction in
Kathmandu for tourists. This ancient royal palace was built in the 15 th century and serves as the cultural
and historical core of Kathmandu Valley. The temples, shrines, courtyards, and museums around the
Durbar square showcase the art and architecture of ancient times.
