Overview of Luxury Trek to Everest

Luxury Everest Base Camp Trekking is an iconic walk through the Khumbu Region with adventure, comfort, and luxury. Overland Trek Nepal presents this Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek for those who want to experience the highest level of coziness without compromising on the breathtaking beauty of the highest peaks. It is a lifetime trekking experience through one of the best trekking trails in Nepal. This luxury trekking itinerary to EBC is crafted for those who wish to enjoy the charm of the Himalayas along with the comfortable lodges and services.

This journey to the Everest Base Camp takes you to an altitude of 5555 meters, Kala Patthar, the last trekking spot and popular viewpoint of Mt. Everest. The trek follows the specially crafted itinerary with a well-planned acclimatization day that suits beginners, experienced nomads, and even the family. Trekkers who can walk 6-7 hours a day for 12 days can do this trek without difficulties. Nevertheless, you must be physically able to hike and mentally tough to complete the trek. Unlike the Everest Three High Pass Trek, the difficulty level of the EBC Trek is moderate.

So, what are you waiting for? Board on the thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Soaking in the culture and lifestyle of Sherpa while enjoying the vibrant town of Namche Bazaar. The towering tallest peak in the world, a wide range of flora and fauna in Sagarmatha National Park, Khumbu Ice Fall, Khumbu Glacier, and many more attractions while enjoying the deluxe facilities. This could be the moment of your life you will never forget.

Difference between regular EBC Trek and Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek

So, what makes Luxury Everest Base Camp Trekking different? It is all about relishing the beauty of the Everest Region while pampering in the Luxury places and lodges. Moreover, the services on this trek will be top-notch with regular interaction with the trek leader.

The major difference between this luxury trip and the regular Everest Base Camp Trek is Accommodation in the mountains. During the regular EBC Trek itinerary, trekkers stay in a basic teahouse. However, on luxury trips, they stay overnight in a private attached room with luxury beds until Tengboche.

Besides, the accommodation of the field staff like guides and porters will be pre-booked. In regular itineraries sometimes trekkers tend to carry baggage by themselves. On the contrary, on a luxury trip, there will be a porter who will carry the baggage up to 22 Kg. Likewise, when the flight to Lukla operates from Ramecchap in peak trekking season in Nepal, you must drive to Ramecchap for 4-5 hours. However, in a regular trip itinerary, trekkers will share the transport with other travelers. But in luxury trips, Travelers will directly fly to Lukla from Kathmandu by Helicopter.

For more details regarding the services and package inclusions feel free to contact us via email or WhatsApp at +9779851138871.

Note: The safety precautions will remain similar to any of the packages you choose from Overland Trek Nepal. Safety is our major priority for our clients.

What can you anticipate during the trek to Everest Base Camp?

During this luxury trek to Everest Base Camp, trekkers will have an optimum luxury experience from the start to the end of the trek. Trekkers will stay in a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu and the best available hotels in the Everest Region. Although this trip follows the itinerary of a regular Everest Base Camp Trek for 14 days, you will stay in luxury hotels on this trip. However, in Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep you have to spend the night in the best available place. This is due to these places having a limited number of hotels and inadequate amenities.

A luxury journey to Everest Base Camp is an easy way to discover the highest peak in the world. This trek is an easy hike through the Everest trekking route, taking your time to acclimatize, and comfortably reach the destination. Likewise, this trip consists of the two extra days of acclimatization that have been created on this Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary. The first acclimatization day will be at Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa Town in the Khumbu Region. It will be another reserve day at Dingboche Village to keep your body.

Lastly, the excursion is completely private with your government-licensed trekking guide from Everest. Visitors do not have to carry their bags by themselves. A porter will be there during the entire trip to help you carry your baggage. Nevertheless, you can carry a small day backpack with you to keep your personal belongings and water bottle.

Why do Luxury trips to the Everest Region?

Everest Base Camp Trekking is a busy trail in peak trekking season. Hence, finding better accommodation with comfort is very challenging. Sometimes trekkers have to spend an overnight even at the dining hall. However, if you do a luxury trip then your accommodation, flights, meals, transportation, excellent trekking guide, and other facilities will be pre-booked.

Besides all the logistic services, doing a luxury trek will enhance your trekking experience without any stress. Imagine witnessing the tallest peak in the world from your cozy bed and breakfast. The trip allows you to take sufficient time to experience the local Sherpa Culture, mountain vistas, Sagarmatha National Park, monasteries, and so on. Also, if you are an absolute beginner and yet want to see the highest peak in the world, this Luxury package is an ideal option for you. The package involves a relaxing itinerary, proper rest days, safety facilities, and so on.

Brief Itinerary of 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek

From Gorakshep, Hike to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar Hike will be done to conclude the trip. While returning, the trail will follow the same route up to Everest View Hotel and fly back to Kathmandu in a Helicopter.

How expensive is the Everest Base Camp Trek?

If you are in a group of trekkers of up to 8 people, then the price can be around USD 4499 per person. Please note that the cost can be adjusted according to the need for the services. Essential Information

Nepal Visa Procedure

Getting a visa to enter Nepal is easy, either obtain it online or on arrival visa after arriving at Kathmandu airport. If you want to do it online go through the website of the Immigration Department of Nepal. Ensure that your passport has at least 6 months of validation. If you are planning to get it at Kathmandu airport, carry a copy of your passport-size photo. The visa fees in Nepal are:

  • 15-day visa costs $30
  • 30-day visa Costs $45
  • 90-day visa Costs $125

Travel Insurance Requirements

Travel Insurance is obligatory for any travelers who wish to travel to high-altitude destinations for safety reasons. Having travel insurance is like having a license to enjoy your trip without any hassle and stress. We strongly advise our clients to purchase reliable and quality policies that include medical emergencies, helicopter rescues, injuries, loss of goods, damages, trip cancellations, and so on. It will protect you financially and even keep you stress-free while trekking along the route. Also, read the policy properly and buy a genuine one from your country before departing from there. Purchasing it through your home town makes it easy for you to communicate with them if any situation occurs.

Responsible Tourism

For a better trekking experience, we encourage our trekking members including guide and porter to visit Everest to be socially responsible. Always follow the guidelines of the Khumbu Region and respect the cultural norms, values, and traditions of the Sherpa Community. Every local person you meet along the trek greets you saying “Namaste” in Nepali, which means a gesture of respect. Likewise, trying their local dishes, and engaging in their daily activities gives local people different sorts of joy. Similarly, throughout the trip, you are suggested to keep nature clean. Do not throw plastics and other waste along the trail. Instead, we encourage using less plastic as much as possible during the trip. Moreover, depositing the garbage along the trail and managing it in waste management is our main aim to keep the environment neat and clean.

Best Time to Embark on the Everest Trek

This is the most common thing trekkers want to know about the best time to do the Everest Base Camp Trek. Usually, spring and autumn seasons are the most regular trekking seasons in Nepal including EBC. Trekkers can embark on Everest from February up to May which delivers stunning views of mountains in favorable weather conditions. Also, in the spring season, the Everest Base Camp Trek route is naturally decorated by rhododendron flowers. The other best season is the Autumn season which starts in November. During this time, the temperature is favorable for trekking with dry weather. Also, the major festivals of Nepal fall under this season, which allows trekkers to enjoy more cultural vibes during the trip.

Permit Cards and Paper work for the Trek.

Trekkers must obtain two permit cards before starting the trek through the Sagarmatha National Park. Overland Take care of the required permits for this trek. Generally, Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and Khumbu Region Municipality Permit cards that cost USD 25 each are required for this Luxury Trek to Everest. We can get this permit card at Monjo before entering the national park. However, you must have the following documents with you:

  • Original Passport with its copy
  • Passport Size photo (At least 2-3 copies).

Luxury Accommodation in Everest Region

Overland Trek Nepal will arrange luxury accommodation until Debuche for this trek. However, in Kathmandu, you will spend a night in a 5-star hotel. Along the Everest Trekking Route, this luxury trekking package offers quality accommodation until Debuche with modern amenities. Above Debuche, luxury accommodations are difficult to find but we will try our best to arrange comfortable lodges that meet your expectations. Also, the luxury accommodations have an attached bathroom with a western toilet, so you don’t have to squat for its use.

Also, the electricity, hot shower, and internet access in this luxury accommodation is better than that of the teahouse. In luxury hotels, you don’t have to pay for extra electricity usage and internet. Likewise, the hot shower is better than in the teahouse. It is full of comfort and luxury to use the required service in the remote part of the Khumbu Region.

Is the luxury trek to Everest too Difficult for me?

Well, in comparison to regular EBC Trek with standard facilities, the Luxury Everest Trek is easier and more comfortable. You will be offered luxury accommodation with an attached bathroom, a Helicopter flight to Lukla and back to Kathmandu, and other quality logistic services. However, the trekking route through the glacial moraine while hiking to Kala Pathhar or EBC can be the tricky part. Similarly, altitude sickness is another part of the Everest Base Camp Trek Difficulty level. Even if you enjoy the deluxe logistic service, sickness can give you problems. Therefore, high-altitude hiking and physical training before the trek is obligatory.

Led by an Expert Sherpa Trekking Guide and experienced porter staff

Every trekker and climber have a dream to reach the Everest with a Sherpa Guide. On this trip to Everest, you will be led by a well-trained, experienced, and government-licensed holder Sherpa Guide from the start to the end of the trek. The guide will help you find the path, and inform about you the weather, the culture of the Sherpas, the history of the mountains, and so on. Also, trekking with a guide can make a huge difference along the trek, he can be your companion or to lifesaver at some point.

We also provide an experienced and strong porter to carry your important baggage during the whole journey. Even if you are an experienced trekker or beginner, we advise you to hire a porter to avoid the Everest Trek Difficulty. The cost of the porter is included in the package.

What kind of Meals are expected in the hotels on Everest?

Being one of the popular and fan favorites, the accommodation of Everest provides a wide range of meal options. You will get to choose various items from the Menu set by the Khumbu Region Municipality. You can choose one main course during each meal i.e. breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, the meals are organic and hygienic directly from the farmland. However, we do not recommend eating non-veg items in the mountains. Here is the list of food items available in the Everest Region:

  • Breakfast: Porridge, Muesli, Omelet, boiled eggs, Pancake, Tibetan Bread, and hot drinks.
  • Lunch & Dinner: Daal Bhat, Pizza, Burger, Sherpa Stew, Vegetable curry, Plain Rice, Soup Items, Spaghetti, Thukpa, Spring Rolls, etc.
