Travelling to Darchula involves a flight to Dhangadhi followed by a public bus ride to Gokuleshower and then a shared jeep to Makarigaad. The journey is straightforward since the roads are well maintained. Similarly, the trailhead is also well-managed and features only a few ascents.

Api Himal is less known among international travellers, but it can be challenging for beginners if they are not fit.
