It is a popular gateway for trekking in the Langtang region, from where our actual trek starts, following the trail along the Langtang River to Lama Hotel, Ghodatabel, and then to Langtang Village. The trail passes through dense forests of bamboo, oaks, rhododendrons, and alpine meadows, offering spectacular natural scenery. Continuing the journey, the trail heads toward the Kyanjin Gompa, the last human settlement in Langtang Valley. Once you reach Kyanjin Gompa, also known as Kyangjin Kharka, explore the village, visit the old Kyanjin Monastery, the cheese factory, and the nearby glacial lake.
The next day, wake up early and hike toward the highest point, Kyanjin Ri (4773m), which offers stunning views of mountain peaks, including Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langtang Ri (7205m), Yala Peak (5520m), and others. Capture the moment at the top before returning to Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stay. The following day, the trek continues as you pack all your tents, sleeping bags, food, and other essentials for camping toward Yala Peak Base Camp at an elevation of 4,600 m. Enjoy camping and prepare for the summit of Yala Peak.
The next morning, wake early and begin a challenging hike to the top of Yala Peak, which offers panoramic views of peaks including Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langtang Ri (7205m), Yala Peak (5520m), Shishapangma (8027m), Gangchempo (6387m), and others. Spend some time at the summit before descending back to Base Camp and then to Kyanjin Gompa. Leaving Kyanjin Gompa, the return journey follows the same trail through Langtang Village, Ghodatabela, Lama Hotel, Bamboo, and Syabrubesi. From there, catch the bus back to Kathmandu, where the journey concludes.

While planning the Langtang Valley Trek with Yala Peak Climbing, the main question that comes to mind is “Is the Langtang Yala Peak difficult for beginners?” Although you’re physically fit and mentally prepared, we don’t recommend this trek for first-time hikers.
