We operate this Champadevi Day Hike with a drive from Kathmandu to Pharping. It is around a 15 Km drive to the starting point. The small village of Pharping is popular for the religious site Dakshinkali Temple. From here, walk through the lush green forests & climb to Champadevi. Interestingly, this day hike to Champadevi is suitable for bird lovers. You can watch several species of birds. Hiking for 3-4 hours will take you to Champadevi Temple.

After spending some time at the top, you will descend through another route that ends at Hattiban. From here, you will drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 01

Champadevi Day Hike Details

7:30 AM: Hotel Pickup & Drive to Pharping

Your guide from Overland Trek Nepal will meet you at your hotel. You will drive approximately 45–60 minutes to the starting point near Pharping.

8:30 AM – Begin the Hike to Champadevi

The trail begins through quiet villages and gradually enters a beautiful pine forest. The steady ascent allows you to walk at a comfortable pace.

10:30 AM – Forest Ridge Section

As you gain elevation, the forest opens up with occasional valley views. Your guide will share insights about local culture and nature along the way.

11:30 AM – Reach Champadevi Summit (2,285m)

You will reach the main destination, Champadevi Temple. From here, you can see amazing views of the Langtang Range, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lampa, and beautiful Kathmandu Valley. Take your moment to catch the views and spend some time here before descending.

12:30 PM – Descend via Hattiban Route

Now, time to return from the Hike. You will now take another hiking route via Hattiban.

2:30–3:00 PM – Drive Back to Kathmandu
