Yala Peak Climbing provides one of Nepal’s simplest and quickest peak climbing excursions, making it accessible to first-time climbers and experienced trekkers. Yala Peak (5,550m/18,208ft) is located in Nepal’s remote Langtang area in the northeast and is one of the closest trekking destinations to the valley of Kathmandu, which is regarded as the classic trekking trail on the planet.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 meters /4592 feet)

The flight into Kathmandu with a panoramic view of the valley below and the Himalayan ranges towering above. Once you land and check out from the Tribhuvan International Airport our agent will greet and welcome you, and drive you to your hotel, later in the evening you’ll be assisted with all of your travel requirements for the trek by your guide then in the evening you will be taken for welcome dinner in Nepali restaurant to have delicious, typical Nepalis food.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

You will wake up early morning have your breakfast then be ready for the city tour. As per the plan, your tour guide will be there to pick you up and head toward Nepal’s UNESCO World Heritage site which will be very interesting to explore and you will learn so many things about Nepal, then you will be back at the hotel by evening and chill and be prepared for your trek, buy something if things are missing which is required.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,500m/4,921ft)

Today you will wake up early morning and then have your breakfast then be ready to move, your guide will be there to pick you up as per plan then will move to the buspark to catch the early morning bus. The first day of your trip starts with a drive north out of Kathmandu Valley towards Syabrubesi. the route makes its way through rust-colored mud dwellings, traditional farms, terraced fields, and scenic mountain slopes. Once you reach Syabrubesi you’ll stay here for the night, rest as your trek starts tomorrow.

Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,480m/8,136ft)

The first day of your trekking starts today, so wake up early then have your morning hot breakfast, and get out on the trail, the path passes along the Bhote Koshi River, walking through a densely forested route lined with rhododendron and oak trees, ascending to Lama Hotel where you will see only a few hotels which is a very cool and peace area to spend overnight.

Day 5: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m/11,255ft, 14km, 6 to 7 hours)

After your early morning breakfast, set off on your hike through a lush green forest with snow-capped Langtang Lirung (7,244m/23,766ft) looming behind.

The tiny valley widens as you approach Ghodatabela, from there, the route winds through streams on its way to Langtang Village, the heart of Langtang National Park. The rural setting, complete with grain fields and yak grazing, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. when you reach the hotel, you will take a rest to be fresh then an evening walk around the valley and explore the Tibetan local culture, and lifestyle.

Day 6:Trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa (3,830m/12,566ft, 7 km, 2 to 3 hours)

Start your trek after early morning breakfast, hiking alongside the massive Mani eventually reach Mundu village, you’ll pass through various streams and panoramic views of the mountains, and the relics of the Earthquake which struck the area in 2015, after a short walk along this path you’ll settle Kyangjin Gompa.  After checking in, relax at your tea house before visiting the cheese factory or exploring the village.

Day 7 :Rest and Acclimatization Day at Kyangjin Gompa, hike up to Kyangjin Ri (4,773m/ 15,655 ft)

As you gain altitude, the oxygen level in the air gets thinner, and your body is unable to adjust to the rapid change, resulting in altitude sickness, which can include headaches, vomiting, fatigue, and other symptoms.

So as per your guide wake up early morning and have breakfast or take a pack of breakfast then hike up to Kyangjin Ri is an easy acclimatization excursion, at an elevation of 4773 meters in elevation and is the highest point in the village of Kyangjin Gompa, take it slow and have frequent rest till you reach the summit, from the top you’ll witness spectacular views of the mountains with sunrise, glaciers and the village below. Which will give you a different feel than back to the village to explore the cheese factory and about local people. And chill the day.

Day 8:Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Yala Peak Base Camp (4,600m/15,093ft, 5 to 6 hours) then pre-climbing training

Wake up early morning then have your breakfast then start your hike up to the Yala peak Base Camp, due to the rough glacial landscape, the route becomes a little difficult so take cautious steps. As you approach the base camp, the closeup views of the neighboring peaks of Ganchenpo (6,378m/20,925ft, Jugal Mountain Range), Naya Kang (5,846m/19,179ft), Tserko Ri (5,033m/16,500ft), and the spectacular Yala Peak will astound you.

upon reaching the base camp rest for a while and after that leave your stuff at the camp and go on a pre-climbing excursion, your climbing guide will give you some basic climbing instructions for tomorrow’s climb. This training will give you an idea of what to anticipate tomorrow and will enhance your confidence.

After you’ve completed your preparations, return to your tent and get some rest, since you’ll need to get up early in the morning.

Day 9: Climb to the Yala Peak Summit (5,500m/18,046ft) then return to Yala Peak Base Camp (8 to 9 hours)

The weather in the mountains changes dramatically during the day, so you’ll need to get up early before dawn to reach Yala Peak Summit, ascend at a slow pace and you’ll be pushing to the summit of Yala Peak in a few hours, the path is covered in snow and lose rocks so take caution steps till the summit

From the summit Mountain peaks of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, and Tserko Ri offer you a splendor 360-degree vista.  The tallest peak in Tibet, Sishapangma, can be seen behind a very narrow ridge. After spending some time on the summit ascend to base camp.

Day 10: Trek from Yala Peak Base Camp to Kyangjin gompa (3,830m/12,566ft, 5 to 6 hours)

You will wake up early morning have your delicious breakfast then retrace your steps back to Syabrubesi, crossing the woodlands and following the river, and travel past the Chilime Hydropower Plant at Sherpa Gaon, from here follow the trail till you reach the village of SyabruBesi.

Day 13: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,593ft, 122 km, 7 to 8 hours)

Get up early morning have your breakfast then catch up on your morning bus and return to Kathmandu, when you arrive in Kathmandu check into your hotel and be fresh, take a rest, and in the evening attend a special farewell dinner to acknowledge the end of your Langtang adventure with our staff.

Day 14: Final Departure

Entry Permits and Requirements

The Langtang Valley Trek requires the following permits:

1) Langtang National Park Permit

2)  Yala Peak doesn’t require a climbing permit.

Fees for Permits:

  • Foreign visitors must pay NRS 3000 per person, whereas nationals of SAARC nations must pay NRS 1,500 and Nepalese must pay NRS 100.
  • If you are trekking with a guide, you will need a TIMS Card worth NRS 1000.
  • Individual trekker receives NRS 2000 for free (FIT).
  • NRS 300 if trekking with a guide and NRS 600 if trekking alone for SAARC countries nationals.

You won’t have to worry about waiting for permits since the company and our guides will take care of everything.

Travel Insurance:

Travel insurance is required for all clients participating in any activity. We strongly advise you to obtain a complete insurance plan from a reputable insurance company to cover personal injury, death, hospital expenses, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue, and any other disease covered by the insurance plan.

Passport and Visa:

The Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu must issue each client a valid visa with a six-month validity from the return date.

Meals and Drinking Water:

In popular trekking regions such as Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Manaslu, there is a menu system with various ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals, but some locations provide you with typical Nepali meals which are different from international meals, and these meals are prepared by the local supplement, every tourist lodge and tea house has a well-trained cook who focuses on clean, hygienic, fresh, and delicious foods, and every lodge has safe drinking water or mineral water.
