Tent Peak, also known as Tharpu Chuli, is located in Nepal’s Annapurna region the most popular trekking destination in the country. The tent peak is 5,695m/18,684ft high and is one of the finest climbing peaks providing breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and highlands, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, and many others.

Tent Peak, is one of Nepal’s easiest peak climbs, while reaching the top, you’ll have to navigate through rugged terrain and maneuver technical sections with a few tricky areas, but it is suitable for both novice and experienced hikers, and our climbing guides will assist you with all your needs.

How Tent Peak Climbing will start? 

The start of your trip is from Kathmandu, from here you’ll travel through Pokhara to Hile, the beginning point of your trek to the Annapurna sanctuary with a detour to Poon Hill, and you’ll be traveling to the Annapurna Base Camp passing various little settlements, on the base camp you’ll start your pre climbing training, the next day head towards Tent Peak, the excursion takes three days after you submit the peak retrace your steps downwards and towards Jhinu Danda, the healing waters of Himalayan hot water spring to relax after hard trekking and climbing.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 meters /4592 feet)

The flight into Kathmandu is breathtaking with a panoramic view of the valley and Himalayan ranges towering. Once you land and check out from the Tribhuvan International Airport our agent will greet and welcome you, and drive you to your hotel, later on, in the evening you’ll be assisted by your guide with all of your travel requirements for the trek. and in the evening, you will be taken to the typical Nepali restaurant for a typical Nepali thali set as a Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara(800m) by tourist bus(6-7hrs)

After your early morning breakfast at Kathmandu hotel, you will be taken by your guide to the tourist bus park then will ride a tourist bus to Pokhara for around 6 to 7 hours. When you leave the Kathmandu valley you will see beautiful mountain views, rice-terraced fields, green hills, waterfalls, and Rivers by Prithvi Highway, and on the right side you will see so many activities in Trisuli River which is very interesting, and the bus will stop just two times For Breakfast and Lunch break, and when we reach Pokhara you will be transferred to the hotel then will take little rest, be fresh then can move for an evening walk around Lakeside which is a very beautiful place to hang around.

Day 3: Drive to Naya pull Then Trek to Ulleri(2200m/7040ft), Duration: 5-6 Hours

Early morning After Breakfast we will move to Naya pull by private car then will start to walk
head towards Hile the route passes through lush scenery and traditional farms along the way. Once you arrive at Hile your trek begins here you’ll pass through the Annapurna Conservation Area, which is rich in flora and fauna, and walk through traditional Gurung and Magar villages. From Hile up to Tikhedhunga and follow the stairs up to Ulleri which is at a hilltop with more than 3,000 stairs to climb. As you arrive at Ulleri, head to a teahouse to rest your tired muscles

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2,874m/9,429ft) – 5 to 6 hours trek

Wake up early morning then have breakfast and head towards Ghorepani, the trail is covered with snow-capped mountains and lush sub-tropical forests of Oaks and Rhododendron. when you reach Nangethati can take a lunch break which is a really beautiful place to have lunch and take relax for a moment, then head to Ghorepani, this place is a small town located just below Poon Hill along a historic trading route that served as a water stop for horses and mule caravans. From here you will see a panoramic mountain view even from your room.

Day 5: Moring Hike Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft) and trek to Tadapani (2,600m/8,528ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek

You will get up early morning then Hike to Poon Hill before dawn and witness a beautiful sunrise view over the mountain. Enjoy the panoramic vista of the Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli mountains. When you have done at poon hill you will be back to the hotel and have breakfast then move to Tadapani. On your hike to Tadapani, descend the route and hike up to Deurali Danda. The Tadapani hamlet, located on the foothills of Fishtail Peak, welcomes you with colorful Buddhist prayer flags.

Day 6:Trek to Chomrong (2,170m/7,118ft) – 5 to 6 hours trek

Enjoy your breakfast while taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains and the morning sun. Leave Tadapani through the dense rhododendron forest and pass by tiny communities in Bhugung where you will have a lunch break then head to Chomrong along the way till you reached the settlement of Chomorong big Gurung village.

Day 7 :Trek to Dovan (2,600m/8,530ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek

After your early morning breakfast, today you will hike to Dovan, on your route to Dovan, you’ll go down past a suspension bridge over the Chhomrong Khola and the settlement of Upper Sinuwa, trekking through oak, bamboo, and rhododendron woods to the settlement of Dovan.

Day 8:Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m/12,136ft) - 4 to 5 hours trek

After your early morning breakfast, we head to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, the trail today is a bit difficult, hiking past the Modi River and the rocky terrain of Himalaya, you’ll pass along Hinku cave, a base camp for travels in the past. The Machhapuchhre Base Camp is reached by walking through a small valley with steep mountain slopes.

Day 9: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,547ft) - 2 to 3 hours trek

Wake up early and witness the beautiful sunrise over the mountain peaks from Machhapuchhre, before hiking to Annapurna Base Camp. From Machhapuchhre Base Camp, take a leisurely stroll trekking past Annapurna Sanctuary, believed to be the residence of gods according to local legend. Hike among carpets of wildflowers on an uphill trail. As you reach the base camp witness 360 vistas of the mountain peaks.

Day 10: Acclimatization day at Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,547ft) and pre-climb training

Early morning you will see the sunrise which would be a super beautiful, amazing view of the white mountain, during sunrise you will see the unexpected glorious mountain, after that we will be back to the Teahouse and then have breakfast. Then head for acclimatization. today is your acclimatization day at the Annapurna Base Camp, at a height of 4,130m/13,547ft, your climbing leader will brief you on the trail’s condition and basic pre-climb training. After training head back to the base camp and rest.

Day 11: Trek to Tent Peak Base Camp (5,695m/18,684ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek

After your early morning breakfast, you’ll be heading to Tent Peak Base Camp today, you’ll be hiking through high cliffs and glaciers covered in debris, so take extra caution. On the northern side of the glacier, the route is marked and a further climb brings you to a flat boulder by an ice stream, upon crossing the creek, you’ll arrive at the Tharpu Chuli Base Camp’s flat area.

Day 12: Trek to High Camp (5,230m/17,159) - 3 to 4 hours trek

Begin your trek to the Tent Peak High Camp early in the morning. As technical climbing is needed, be cautious, while climbing and crossing the steep stretch slanted approximately 50 to 60 degrees, you’ll need the use a rope and a helmet. Furthermore, you will be progressively trekking upwards on a 30-degree glacier. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli mountains. At the High Camp, your crew will set up camp and cook a nice meal for you. Explore the area and get some rest before the big day of climbing Tent Peak the next day. Overnight at High Camp.

Day 13: Summit Tent Peak or Tharpu Chuli (5,695m/18,684ft) and back to Base Camp – 7 to 8 hours climb

As you’ll be summiting Tent Peak today you need to get up at 2 a.m. and start your climb towards the peak, begin by ascending on a wall of rock, then on a 70-degree steep slope covered with snow, the climb is difficult and steep along the ridge, but the view from the top is well worth the effort, before making the last ascent, you’ll be walking on a level portion.
The last ascent has tricky maneuvers, and the summit of Tent Peak is reached with fixed ropes. The vistas of mountain peaks of Annapurna, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and others await you at the summit. After spending a brief time at the summit return to the base camp. Overnight at Base Camp.

Day 14: Trek to Bamboo (2,310m/7,577ft) – 6 to 7 hours trek

After your early morning breakfast, you’ll be retracing your ways back to Bamboo today, leaving the mountains behind, trekking across waterfalls and through lush woodland to reach your Bamboo. Overnight at Bamboo

Day 15Trek to Jhinu Danda (1,760m/5,773ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek

After your morning hot breakfast, you will be heading to Jhinu Dada. Trek on an ascending route to Kudi Ghar followed by an uphill hike to Sinuwa, you’ll be walking on a stone step alongside the river. Upon ascending thousands of stone steps, you will reach Upper Chomrong. A steep downhill trail runs to the Jhinu Danda. After reaching Jhinu relax and rejuvenate yourself by soaking in the natural Himalayan hot spring at Jhinu Danda. The natural hot spring, situated on the bank of Modi Khola, is known to have healing properties and relax paining muscles which will give you wow moments. Overnight at Jhinu Dada

Day 16Trek to Matque (1,070m/3,510ft) and drive to Pokhara- 2 hours trek and 2-3 hour drive

After your early morning breakfast, your journey ends with a hike from Jhinu Danda to Matque, you’ll begin your hike on a downward trail, Matque is reached by continuing on a downward slope, and from Matque a short drive takes you to Pokhara.
Sit beside the tranquil Phewa Lake with a view of Fishtail Peak reflected in the water, the city provides a variety of leisure opportunities.

Day 17Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft)

After early morning wow breakfast, your staff will take you to a tourist bus park then you’ll be traveling back to Kathmandu, traveling alongside the Trishuli River, passing through tiny villages and rural towns. Once you reach your accommodation you can go sightseeing, stroll through Thamel, and perhaps do some souvenir shopping.
In the evening, a special cultural program and a farewell dinner will be served to commemorate the end of your journey.

Best Time to Travel & Weather Condition:

Spring (March to May) and autumn (mid-September to November) are the best times to trek to Tent Peak Climbing. In spring, the foothills are ablaze with wildflowers, rhododendron blossoms, and orchids hanging from branches, the weather is dry and clear during this season, making it ideal for trekking and exploring the breathtaking scenery of the mountains. In autumn after the end of the heavy monsoon season, with a clear atmosphere and the days are warm though the evenings are quite chilly trekking to Tent Peak Climbing is extremely popular.

Meals and Drinking Water:
