Kyangjin Gompa Gosaikunda Trek is a perfect combination of the high-altitude trek to the Himalayan highlands an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in Nepal’s Langtang region, the trail passes through Langtang National Park consisting of miles of thick sub-tropical forest and woodlands, high pasture lands, glaciers, raging rivers, rows of mountains and high settlement area of ethnic mountain people.

How Kyangjin Gompa Gosaikunda Trek will start?

Crossing across SyabruBesi, the trek ascends through Lama Hotel, Ghoda Tabela, Langtang Village, and finally to Kyangjin Gompa. Kyangjin Gompa is the last settlement of the region, with various lodges, monasteries, and the famous Yala Cheese factory, started in 1955 by the Swiss Association and looked at by the Government of Nepal.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 meters /4592 feet)

The flight into Kathmandu offers views of the valley below and the Himalayan ranges towering above. Once you arrive, you’ll be driven to your hotel by one of our staff then later in the evening you’ll have a brief meeting regarding the trip with your guide and he will check all the required trip equipment then you will be taken in typical Nepal restaurant for traditional Nepali kathakali thali set as welcome dinner.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by bus 6-7 hrs and overnight in Syabrubesi.

After your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Machhapokhari bus station then will catch an early morning bus to Syabrubesi. The first day of your journey starts with a drive north out of Kathmandu Valley towards SyabruBesi, through rust-colored settlements, traditional terraced fields, and scenic mountain slopes. Once you reach SyabruBesi head towards your accommodation chill your evening at the hotel, and explore the city.

Day 3: Trek Syabrubesi to Ghodatabela. (3030m)

The first day of your trek starts today, so wake up early then have breakfast and head out on the trail, the trail passes alongside the river, walking through a densely forested route lined with rhododendron and oak trees, ascending up to Lama Hotel. While you walking you can take a break any time anywhere when required and you will have a lunch break at Bamboo after your lunch slowly you will climb to Lama hotel which is a very small town that has only a few hotels where you can take a short break then you will move to continue to Ghodatabela from inside the jungle which will be a memorable walk then will reach to Ghodatabela where you will spend your night.

Day 4: Trek Ghodatabela to Kyanjin Gomba. (3830m)

Ghodatabela is a resting spot for caravans of mules and horses passing along this trail, start your hike as early as possible after your morning hot breakfast and head towards Kyanjin Gomba passing various settlements and the iconic Langtang village. Once you reach Kyanjin Gomba head towards your accommodation later on take a stroll around the village.

Day 5: Trek Kyanjin Gomba to Lama Hotel. (2420m)

You will wake up according to guide instructions and then have Breakfast at the Hotel, after breakfast Leaving Namche Bazaar we will head toward our next destination, Tengboche (3868m). The way is not that hard from Namche to Phungi Thenga slow downward and from Phungi Thenga to Tengboche upward which is a little harder compared to before. Tengboche Monastery is one of the famous monasteries of Nepal. You’ll get an amazing view of Mt. Ama Dablam behind Tengboche Monastery. You will need to walk 10-11 Km which will take 5 hours to reach Tengboche from Namche.

Day 6:Trek Lama Hotel to Cholangpati. (3654m)

As, you’ll have to hike for a long period today, wake up early have your breakfast, and head downhill till Pairo then start to climb uphill hike to Cholanpati, across a dense forest filled with Oaks, rhododendrons, orchids, and ferns. As you reach Cholangpati rest for the day soaking in the views of the mountains.

Walking Duration: 8 – 9 hrs

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Teahouse 

Day 7 :Trek Cholang Pati to Gosaikunda. (4380m)

After an early breakfast head towards Gosaikunda, the trail is an uphill hike so take it slow and have frequent rest. After reaching Gosaikunda leave your backpacks at the tea house and explore the surrounding areas and the lake, do a short hike as acclimatization which will help you to get good sleep at night. In at evening witnessing the sunset and the changing colors of the lake will give you the wow moments which will make it very special.

Day 8:Trek Gosaikunda to Dhunche. (1960m)

Wake up early and witness the sunrise, after spending a brief time exploring the lake, go to the teahouse and have breakfast then head towards Dhunche passing through various settlements along the way, the trail today consists of a downhill hike so take it slow. Once you reach Dhunche get to your accommodation and relax.

Maximum Altitude: 1,960 m

Walking Duration: 6 – 7 hrs

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Teahouse 

Day 9: Dhunche to Kathmandu by bus. (1400m)

Wake up early morning then have your morning breakfast then be ready to catch a morning ride to Kathmandu, upon arriving at Kathmandu head to your accommodation, and later on, you may take a stroll around the city. Later in the evening attend a special farewell dinner to acknowledge the end of your Langtang adventure with our staff.

Day 10: Final Departure

You will have your breakfast in the morning then according to your flights our staff will drop you off at the airport, you’ll bid farewell to your newfound friends as well as Nepal.
