Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 meters /4592 feet)

The flight into Kathmandu with a panoramic view of the valley below and the Himalayan ranges towering above the clouds is stunning. Once you land and check out from the Tribhuvan International Airport our agent will greet and welcome you, and drive you to your hotel, later on, in the evening you’ll be assisted with all of your travel requirements for the trek by your guide and will have typical Nepali Thali as welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap (2850 meters, 7-8 hours)

After having breakfast in Kathmandu, you will leave for Dhap driving for 7-8 hours. Cherish the blissful views of villages and green hills during the drive to Dhap. The village of Dhap is the main entrance point of Pikey Peak Trek. Overnight stay at Dhap.

Day 3: Dhap to Jhapre (2920 meters, 4-5 hours)

Today you will reach the Base Camp leaving Jhapre, following the new trail that climbs up to the grassy hills of Bhulbhule. Walking through this ridge offers views of mountains and hills at the same time. After taking Lunch at Bhulbhule, the trek continues a gentle uphill climb to the base camp. Trekking for the next 2-3 hours takes you to the Pikey Peak Base Camp for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Hike to Pikey Peak (4060 meters) and trek to Junibesi (2700 meters, 6-7 hours)

Waking up before the dawn, you will trek to Pikey Peak for the sunrise view. It will be one of your memorable days in your life. The trial is all the way straightforward to the peak navigating the western face of the Peak. As the sun comes up, you will be treated to jaw-dropping views of Lhotse, Manaslu, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and many more peaks. After admiring the views from the Pikey Peak, you will trek down to Junibesi for an Overnight stay.

Day 6:Hike to Thuptenchholing (2900 meters) and back to Junibesi (2700 meters, 3-4 hours)

This is an extra day at Junibesi to visit the wonderful Thuptechholing Monastery. The gentle hike climbing uphill through the forest takes you to this monastery. It was built in the 19th Century. After exploring the monastery, you will hike down to Junibesi.

Day 7 : Junibesi to Takshindu (3,130 m) Walking 5 - 6 hours

The day begins with the 30-minute walk to Phaplu. Then from there, it takes another 3 hours to reach Ringmo for Lunch. Likewise, after having Lunch, you will hike up through the jungle. Crossing the jungle, you will arrive at a few houses before reaching Taksindu.

Day 8:Taksindu to Nunthala (2200 meters, 4-5 hours)

Today, the trail descends through the forest enjoying nature and its charm. Perhaps, it is the shortest day of your trek. You will reach Nunthala during the Lunch Time. After having Lunch, you will have a rest day today or visit around the village in the evening. Overnight stay at Nunthala.

Day 9: Nunthala to Kharikhola (2350 meters, 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, the trail hits through the jungle descending to the Lunch Stop. Next, the trail starts slowly ascending towards Kharikhola. En route, you will cross different small villages. Overnight stay at Kharikhola.

Day 10: Kharikhola to Paiya (2817 meters, 5-6 hours)

From Dingboche, the trail gently starts toward Pheriche ascending uphill trail. Yak Farms and highland pasture will be on your way during the walk. Cholotse and Ama Dablam give you company during your today’s trek. Soaring Ama Dablam from the bottom of the valley is exciting to witness. The trek continues through the Thokla Pass, which is quite difficult. After crossing the pass, the village of Lobuche arrives where you will stay overnight.

Day 18: Lobuche to Gorakshep and Hike to EBC (5364 meters, 7-8 hours)

Today you will hit the trail earlier than usual. The trail follows the breathtaking route of Khumbu Glacier to Gorakshep. There are several ups and downs until you reach Gorakshep. Taking a small break with some energy-giving meals, you will leave your luggage here and start your hike to EBC. The next 2 hours of determined walk from Gorakshep takes you to the paradise of mountains surrounded by 8000 meters. Embrace the magnificent Mt. Entry Permits & Requirements:

The following Permits are required for your Everest Base Camp Trek

  • Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and
  • Khumbu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit.
  • Gaurishankar Conservation Area Entry Permit.

You can get a Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit from the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or the park’s entrance gate in Monjo whose fee is NRS 3000 for foreign countries citizens and NRS 1500 for citizens of SAARC countries.

You must fill out an application for permission and show your passport or a copy of your passport. To obtain the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit, you must be in Lukla. The permit costs NRS 2000 and can be obtained at the rural municipality counter on the settlement’s outskirts.

You won’t have to wait for permits because the company or our guides will handle everything.

Travel Insurance:

Travel insurance is required for all clients participating in any activity. We strongly advise you to obtain a complete insurance plan from a reputable insurance company to cover personal injury, death, hospital expenses, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue, and any other disease covered by the insurance plan.

Passport and Visa:

The Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu must issue each client with a valid visa with a six-month validity from the date of return.

Meals and water

Our trekking packages include the 3-times meal during the trek i.e. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Almost all vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are available during the trek. Moreover, you can find typical Nepalese, continental, Italian, and Indian meals at Teahouses. They provide a set menu from which you can choose any one item for your meal.

If we talk about drinking water, you can buy it in several teahouses. Either you can use filtered water or buy mineral water. However, drinking water is not included in the cost. Mineral water per bottle costs around $1-$2.
