It depends on your illness. If altitude sickness you have to sit or lie down. And if you still feel sick, keep warm until you get medical help. You’ll be carried down with no more progress. We also advise our travelers to take a personal kit too.
If the case is serious then you’ll need a helicopter rescue. Our guide will suggest you use it if it is very serious.
Guides or porter do not carry an oxygen tank since there is enough time to acclimatize while trekking. But if someone feels the effects of altitude then there are facilities along the trek at various points and is easy to get it.
wonderful Trekking with Overland Trek Nepal “Amazing”.
My few friends and myself completed Three High Passes trek in October’19. Everything was organized flawlessly right from the start. The Alpine hotel and Apartment in Kathmandu were lovely and we really enjoyed welcome dinner in the traditional Nepalese restaurant we were taken to by company owner, Gautam Dhakal. Also loved the day tour around Kathmandu Valley.
On the trek, we were looked after our guide Krishna and our porter Pemba, Kulung. All are amazing. Krishna would always get us the best rooms available in a tea house and made sure we have everything we need, offering extra blankets and he knew all of the mountain names and elevations and he also demonstrated extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna. His willingness to share that knowledge made the trip very memorable. My friends and I noticed that many other guides working for other companies did not provide anywhere near the level of service that ours did. We would discuss our trekking plans daily and he was very flexible, offering advice on what’s best and always accommodated our request (weather wasn’t spoiling us in the first week). Very friendly, cheerful, polite and always had our best interest at heart. We had so much fun! We didn’t have to worry about anything and could just enjoy amazing Himalayan scenery, more about the culture and religions.
I should also mention that even before we landed in Nepal, Gautam would always respond to the multitude of questions I had via email and was extremely helpful. We are thinking of going back to Nepal to do some more challenging climbs and we will definitely be using Overland Trek Nepal again. They’re very reliable and I’m sure we will be in good hands. We’re very grateful to Gautam for making sure this was an unforgettable experience for us and we’re looking forward to another adventure with Overland Trek Nepal!
Remarkable Trip in my life.
My Father and I did the Everest Three High Passes Trek in May 2019. We are very thankful that we booked our trip with Overland Trek Nepal.
Before the trek, Mr. Gautam answered all our questions and was very helpful. Once we reached Kathmandu, we were picked up at the airport by Mr. Gautam and transfer to Alpine Hotel and Apartment which unexpected everything was amazing. and we had prepared all the needed equipment for our trek as per company instruction.
Our guide Mr. Bimal was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and our porter Unish was also amazing. Both of them were always ready to help, answer our questions, encourage us, or share a good joke, making trips excellent every day.
The trek itself is indeed very challenging, but if you prepare well and are in good physical and mental condition, you will be able to do it. It is extremely rewarding to reach passes, and the scenery is remarkable. It’s amongst the best things we’ve seen in our lives!
if you are looking for the perfect travel agency in Nepal to organize your trek, do not look further just book with overland Trek Nepal! We are looking forward to another opportunity to go back to Nepal with them!
