The Jomsom Muktinath trek is the most popular trekking destination of Nepal’s Annapurna and Mustang regions. Also, This trek offers breathtaking mountain panorama views. Also, with a unique blend of culture and lifestyle, winding valleys, waterfalls, and apple orchards, the world’s deepest George is situated between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Mountain.
The journey takes you to Nepal’s windswept city of Jomsom and follows the Kaligandaki River’s pathways to the sacred temple of both Hindus and Buddhists. Also, Muktinath and Upper Mustang, Nepal’s forbidden kingdom, are both accessible from Jomsom. Moreover, Annapurna’s steep valleys and high mountains are home to diverse geography and culture. with a high grassland and plateau, subtropical forest, raging river torrents, and mountain views, the Jomsom Muktinath Trek is great for people who wish to see the Annapurna region’s variety without committing to the entire Annapurna Circuit trip.
As the region is in a rain-shadow area, the trek may be done at any time of year and is suitable for all ages, though a few portions may be tough. The trail takes you to Marpha one of the many interesting settlements along the way and is the heart of apple cultivation in Asia, the hamlet has kept its traditional painted houses and narrow cobblestone alleys. Another fascinating place is the village of Kagbeni, a village lost in time with its unique culture and lifestyle.
The flight into Kathmandu is breathtaking with views of lush green hills and snowy peaks. Once you arrive at Kathmandu Airport one of our team members will greet you and head towards your accommodation. Later in the evening, you’ll have a short briefing about the trip, and will have a short conversation with your guide then after you will be served by typical Nepalis Thali set also will enjoy with cultural show at the same restaurant while you having dinner. Then back to the hotel to sleep.

You will wake up early morning and then have your breakfast if you have time if not bus will stop for breakfast too when you are ready your guide will come to pick you up at your hotel then drive to the tourist bus park and catch up with the bus and head to Pokhara, the drive takes around 5-6 hours through the Prithvi highway from where can explore about the beautiful landscape, green hill, Trisuli River, waterfall, beautiful jungle about local people and lifestyle many more. Once you arrive at Pokhara, go to your accommodation and later on head out to explore the city.

After your early morning breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Nayapul by private car which usually takes around 2 hours, after you reach Nayapul your trek starts, and begin your trek through the lush forest of the Annapurna region. While you walking you will get a very good opportunity to explore nature, local people, lifestyle, and religions, and whenever you need a break you can ask and take, also where you feel good to have a lunch break you can have and enjoy. Normally the way is flat till the Tikhe Dhunga but from there you will start to climb slowly uphill which takes around 2 hours. Once you reach Ulleri you will feel you are in heaven which is a very beautiful Gurung, Magar village. Take a rest or take a stroll around the village when you feel cool after refreshment.

Today wake up early morning to have breakfast and head towards Ghorepani, a water station for mules and horses that travel along this route. when you leave Ulleri majority of Gurung, Magar village slowly you will enter the jungle and start to walk slowly uphill and enjoy different types of bird sounds, activities of monkeys, and colorful flora and fauna. Take a break and explore it when you reach Nangy Thati (naked hill) you will have a lunch break and take a rest then again Follow the trail of winding stairs till you reach Ghorepani, later on, explore the area of Magar, and Pun society which is a very interesting place.

Today’s trek is long, so wake up early Morning as per the guide’s instruction, and head towards Poon Hill to witness the sunrise from the famous vantage point of the region from where you will see various mountain ranges like Annapurna, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri which will give you a lifetime experience. After spending a brief time at the viewpoint head down to the Hotel and have a delicious breakfast then be ready to head towards Tatopani Beni, and walk slowly downhill through the lush forest of the Annapurna region and through the local villages where you will explore local culture, religions, lifestyle and local products. When you walk around 5-6 hours you will reach the Tatopani which is a very famous hot water spring in the region. So when you reach the hotel have a rest, be fresh then In the evening take a dip in the healing waters of the spring and after back to the hotel and spend your night.

Today you will wake up early as per guide instructions have your breakfast then be ready to walk. The today trail is filled with the magnificent beauty of sub-tropical woodlands, terrace farming, and scattered settlements all along the way to Ghasa which takes around 6 -7 Hours. The way is not as difficult as on previous days which is like a flat way, once you reach Ghasa explore the settlement and chat with friendly locals.

As usual, will wake up early morning and then have breakfast. then head towards The Marpha, The route ascends from Ghasa to Kalapani after passing from Lete, hiking up on the sandy and flat track alongside the Kali Gandaki River up to Kobang via passing through Larjung, from here after a short rise ascends leads you to Tukuche village, from here notice a stretch of apple orchards and peach plantations before arriving at Marpha. About the break, you can ask any time anywhere when you need. When you walk around 6-7 hours will reach Marpha then explore the village, and wine factory, and can grave so many things of local homemade products to have a different test.

As usual, will wake up early morning and then have breakfast. Then begin your hike by crossing Pongkyu River’s wooden bridge from here you’ll take an easy uphill trek to Syang before dropping down to Jomsom and crossing the next suspension bridge, following a difficult ascent through Jomsom, you’ll arrive at Kagbeni, a riverside settlement. This area is very windy so normally we suggest that our guests wake up early and move earlier to be safe from the strong sandy wind. When you reach Kagbeni you will just explore one of the old monasteries and villages and chill your day.

Wake up early today and have breakfast, then begin with a tough climb up to Jharkot through Khingar and towards Muktinath along the dusty and rugged path. visit various monasteries all along the way. Once you reach Muktinath head towards your accommodation, after a brief rest head to explore the village and chill your day.

Wake up early morning then head towards the Muktinath temple and take a holy bath in the 108 water sprouts and 2 small pools. And wish, pray for something which you will get in future peoples has that kind of belief. Then when you explore many more interesting and historical places you will be back to the hotel and have your breakfast.
Then leave Muktinath to Jomsom later in the day, you’ll descend, passing through many communities such as Ranipauwa and Lupra and along the Kaligandaki River’s bank with spectacular views of the Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri Mountains to Jomsom and spend your day, a night here.

You will wake up early morning then have your breakfast then be ready to catch up early morning flight to Pokhara. Today you’ll leave Mustang district, and head towards Jomsom to Pokhara which usually takes 25 to 30 minutes. After landing in Pokhara head towards your accommodation, later take a stroll around the lake city or you may visit other attractions of the city.

You will get up early morning then have a delicious breakfast after a long time of your trek then be ready to move Tourist bus park by private car then catch up early morning bus to Kathmandu, you’ll be traveling back to Kathmandu alongside the Trishuli River. Once you reach your accommodation you can go sightseeing, stroll through Thamel, and perhaps do some souvenir shopping.
In the evening, a special cultural program and a farewell dinner will be served to commemorate the end of your journey.

Land transportation from Kathmandu to Pokhara and back involves traveling by private vehicle or tourist bus. The journey takes around 6-8 hours and offers scenic views of rural landscapes, terraced fields, and mountain vistas. From Pokhara to Naya Pool, the journey can be made by bus or private vehicle, taking approximately 1-2 hours.
The flight from Jomsom to Pokhara offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the Kali Gandaki Gorge. The flight duration is approximately 20-25 minutes, and it operates in the early morning when weather conditions are favorable.
Jomsom Muktinath Trek involves moderate trekking difficulties, including gradual ascents and descents, high altitudes, and potentially harsh weather conditions. Trekkers should be physically fit, properly acclimatized, and prepared for long days of trekking. Altitude sickness can be a concern, so it’s important to acclimatize properly and listen to your body.
Respect local customs and traditions by dressing modestly, removing shoes before entering temples and religious sites, and greeting locals with a polite “Namaste.” Engage with locals respectfully, learn about their culture and traditions, and seek permission before taking photographs, especially in religious sites.

Jomsom is a scenic town in the Mustang district, known for its apple orchards and traditional Thakali culture. Beni and Tatopani are towns along the trekking route, offering hot springs and stunning mountain views.
Obtain a tourist visa for Nepal before arrival, which can be obtained upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or at land borders. Travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, evacuation, and trip cancellation is highly recommended for trekking in remote areas like the Annapurna region.

Essential items to pack include sturdy hiking boots, warm layers for cold nights, lightweight clothing for daytime trekking, a down jacket, rain gear, a sleeping bag, and trekking poles. Other essentials include sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a first aid kit, and a refillable water bottle. Additionally, bring some cash for purchases along the trek.
