You can get a Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit from the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or the park’s entrance gate in Monjo whose fee is NRS 3000 for foreign countries citizens and NRS 1500 for citizens of SAARC countries.
You must fill out an application for permission and show your passport or a copy of your passport. To obtain the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit, you must be in Lukla. The permit costs NRS 2000 and can be obtained at the rural municipality counter on the settlement’s outskirts.

Spring (March to May) and autumn (mid-September to November) are the best times to trek to Everest Base Camp. Lukla Airport
Duration: 35 minutes flight, 3-4 hours (8km) trek
An early morning flight to Lukla a picturesque mountaintop settlement starts your Everest adventure after you get to Lukla meet with the rest of the team, sort through your possessions, and head out on your adventure.
Descend past Chauri Kharka village to the Dudh Koshi River, a lovely trail that follows the river’s bank leading to Phakding (2,610m), a small Sherpa settlement hidden in the verdant Dudh Koshi Valley. Once you arrive at Phakding take a stroll around the village chat with the locals, or stop by one of the cafés for a hot beverage if you’re not too tired.

Namche Bazaar
Walking Distance: 6-7 hours (10.5 km) trek
Set out for Namche Bazaa. The trail today passes the Dudh Koshi, a milky glacial river up to Monjo, walk across numerous suspension bridges, and through a mesmerizing pine and conifer forests.
Before arriving at the Sagarmatha National Park entrance arrange your permits for inspection, after the permits are checked trek down alongside the Dudh Koshi River to Jorsale, from here, it’s a tough climb up to Namche BazaarOvernight in Namche Bazaar.
Namche Bazaar
Walking Distance: 4-5 hours (6km) trek
This is your first day of acclimatization. Interact with the friendly locals or hike up to any of the vantage points for stunning views of the Himalayas. An upward hike to Everest View Hotel is a great way to acclimate while seeing Mount Everest, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam up close, hike to the Khumjung and Kunde settlements, or visit Sir Edmund Hillary’s school in Khumjung, the first school in the Everest Region and visit 400 years old Khumjung Monastery where The skull of Yeti, the abominable snowman, is said to be kept. Tengboche Monastery
Walking Distance: 5-6 hours (10 km) trek
The trail covers amazing sights of the Himalayan giants Tengboche is the destination for today’s trek, a close-up view of Ama Dablam, widely regarded as one of the world’s most picturesque peaks can be seen from here. The Khumbu region’s oldest Buddhist monastery Tengboche Monastery emerges over the settlement, explore the monastery attends to the monks’ trance-inducing hum and chanting. Overnight in Tengboche.

Tengboche to Pangboche is a short trek, passing through dense tree lines and a small nunnery of Milingo, the highlights of the day is crossing the majestic Imja Khola gorge, the trail leads to various small bridges offering views of Ama Dablam, from here it’s a short upward hike, till you reach to the settlement of Pangboche. Ama Dablam Base Camp
Walking Distance: 4-5 hours (8 km) trek
Today’s day is exciting as you’ll reach Ama Dablam Base Camp after breakfast and leaves your heavy belongings at the Pangboche, you’ll begin with a hard descent towards the Imja Khola from here climb upward after crossing the river, follow the trail and you’ll approach a yak pasture to relax for a while and continue walking and eventually, you’ll arrive at Ama Dalam Base Camp, from here you can witness vistas of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Cholatse, and other eight-thousander and seven-thousand summits like as Mt. Everest, Lhotse Nuptse, and others Himalayan giants.
Head back to Pangboche later in the afternoon. Overnight in Pangboche
After an early breakfast, you’ll leave Pangboche and head towards Phortse. The first part of the ascent brings you to Upper Pangboche, from here you’ll walk for about an hour on a straight track and descend quickly following steep tracks of a narrow cliff. After a short climb, you will get a different view of Namche valley and Tengboche monastery from a distance, pass many terraced fields until you reach the village of Namche Bazaar. Today retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar, the trail take you through lush green woodlands and across raging Glacier Rivers. Once you reach Lukla, explore around the settlement and later celebrate your success and your last day in the mountains.
35 minutes of flight
The scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu is always a delight, once you arrive at Kathmandu, you’ll be driven to your accommodation. In the evening, a special cultural program and a farewell dinner will be served to commemorate the end of your journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.
