Everest Expedition with Overland Trek Nepal is perhaps the best adventure you will ever experience in your life. Trekking in Nepal, Peak climbing in Nepal, and Expedition in Nepal are three different things.  Mt. Everest (8848.86m) is at the top of the world. Climbing Mt. Everest is the most physically and mentally challenging thing in Nepal. It is the dream of every climber around the globe to reach the top of Mt. Everest. You can climb Everest from two sides. One is from Nepal (south) and the other is from Tibet (North). The southern side is the best route for climbing. The trip starts thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Then, the trail follows up toward base camp via Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche. Similarly, you will walk around Gorakshep and Kala Patthar before heading to another camp. The base camp lies at a height of 5364 meters. Likewise, you will see beautiful views of Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse, etc. from the base camp. You will have 4 camps before you reach the top of Everest. The trekking part up the base camp is quite easy. However, when you start to walk higher, the route starts getting difficult. The climbing period between these camps is around 40-50 days.

Camp I-20000 ft. (6400 meters)

Camp I lies in a decent flat area. You will set this camp after crossing the challenging Khumbu Icefall. Similarly, the place is a bit warm as you can get the rays of the sun. Also, the route gets upward from this camp to Camp II.

Camp II-21000ft. (6750 meters)

Camp II lies at a height of 6750 meters at the foot of Mt. Lhotse’s wall. The weather in this camp is somehow good. But, sometimes you can see the big clouds rolling over at the end of our camp. Likewise, from time to time you can feel the wind as well. Sometimes wind can destroy our tents too.

Camp III-22300ft. (7100 meters)

Camp 3 lies at a height of 7100 meters. The camp adjoins the wall of Mt. Lhotse (8516m). You will use the wall to fix the rope to reach Camp 4. Likewise, you have to ascend the steep route. After then, you will cross a snowfield and head to the east. You have to use oxygen in case you need it during the climb from Camp 3.

Camp IV-26000ft. (8400 meters)

Camp 4 is the last camp before the expedition at 8400 meters. From the camp, it is 500 meters far from creating your history. Similarly, this is the challenging part of your trip. You can feel fierce wind during the climb. However, you can climb from the narrow southeast ridge in the best way. It is the easy way to reach the top of Everest. Even the late Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa used this route to climb in 1953.

Best time to climb Mt. Everest

For regular climbers, there is always time to do it. However, there is always the right time to do difficult things like climbing peaks. From Trekking to peak climbing in Nepal, the spring season is the best time to do it. In the spring the temperature is very stable. Also, if you are not a big fan of cold then this is the right time to do it. During the winter season, the trail is full of snow and the temperature is very cold. Whereas, in the summer heavy rains can block the trekking trails. That’s why we organize every expedition from April and end in late May.

The costs of Climbing Everest depend on the service you want. You are looking for the best service with the amount of risk you are going to put. Similarly, you need to find out the price to make your trip to Nepal easy. Likewise, the price varies from year to year as well due to many factors. But, as of 2022, you expect to pay from USD 35000 to USD 120,000. The median price range is around USD 45,000.

You have to spend almost USD 8000 to USD 10,000 for proper climbing gear. Similarly, you need 5-6 oxygen bottles during the whole climb. Each bottle costs around USD 500-600. Likewise, food and transportation cost around USD1500 and USD500 respectively. And, lastly the cost of guides and porters. Technical people play a huge role in your successful climbing.
