Annapurna Base Camp is an outstanding and demanding tourist spot located in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. Permit required:
Most trekking destinations in Nepal are in areas that are protected by the Nepal Government in the name of environmental or cultural purposes, national parks, and conversation areas. So, permit for such places are quite different according to tourist whether they are foreigner or domestic. In the same way, most trekking trails in the Annapurna region are inside the Annapurna Conversation Area.
Foreigners are required to obtain an entry permit from the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) as well as a TIMS card to trek in the Annapurna region.

Pokhara: Permits can also be purchased in Pokhara at the Nepal Tourism Board Service Center in Damside or at the ACAF entry permit counter in Besisahar, Lamjung. TIMS cards can also be purchased from the TAAN Lakeside office in Santi Patan, Pokhara.

Do you need a guide for the ABC Trek?
We kindly suggest all the visitors who want to go to ABC trek without a guide because this is not so long way from Pokhara. There is very less probability of getting lost along the route. There are many signs in each place to show the way to ABC and it is much cheaper to go independently. We also meet lots of other travelers along the way and it is fun to stay and trek together with them. However, people traveling with guides have a fixed schedule of where they need to stay and how far to trek each day.
Itinerary for Annapurna Base Camp
It definitely, is they’re not easy to go trek the Himalayas but it is not impossible. Pokhara is known as the gateway of Annapurna Base Camp. Visitors can take a bus from Pokhara to Kimchi (around 4 hours) and begin trekking from there. They can also take a taxi or jeep to Nayalpul and either trek from there or take a jeep further to Ghandruk for two hours.

Accommodation for Annapurna Base Camp
Teahouses are the common and popular local accommodations in ABC Trek. According to the place, the facilities may not be the same. The teahouses are normal and comfortable for trekkers. Tourists can enjoy the varieties of Nepali food with Nepali culture. Teahouses are not so expensive. However, the cost of lodging and flooding is not the same. The more you go higher, the cost will be increased. Most of the teahouses offer twin-sharing rooms. But, according to the demand of tourists, they can get a single room too. Similarly, you also can get facilitated hotels where you can get every type of facility your wish.
